The Team:

S&P Ratings Security team focuses on protecting our clients and users from all aspects of modern-day security threats. The mission of our team is to safeguard systems and data by developing innovative solutions for the biggest security challenges. We are passionate problem solvers with deep security expertise.

Responsibilities and Impact:

We are looking for a Lead security engineer responsible for security testing including penetration tests, vulnerability scanning, threat assessments, attack simulations, and red/purple team assessments to enhance security of S&P Ratings Applications and Services.

This position is a technical lead role with an opportunity to utilize their expertise in open-box penetration testing, threat modeling, mixed closed and open-box application security analysis, and vulnerability assessment. This position will collaborate with software development teams, DevOps, and SRE to drive security in to how we design, build, deploy, and operate applications. Responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers and maturing the team’s capabilities and processes.

A successful candidate for this position will:

Security/penetration test web applications and underlying infrastructure for vulnerabilities using both manual and automated techniques

Build scripts, tools, or methodologies to enhance offensive security testing

Have expertise with different types of vulnerability assessment tools or related experience in vulnerability detection DAST/SAST tools

Employ advanced techniques including reverse engineering, fuzzing, and conduct research to identify new and novel attack vectors

Possess sound knowledge of common infrastructure and web application vulnerability categorizations such as CVE, CVSS, CWE

Experience in analyzing, identifying, and developing remediation plans for vulnerabilities

Sound understanding of application & web-based attacks

Exploit development background who can discover new vulnerabilities in the systems and applications

Understanding of how applications, cloud networking, operating systems, and databases work to design new attacks

Analyze findings from a variety of application security tools (DAST, SAST, SCA, Credential Scanning) to secure web applications during development and production run-time

Effectively communicate findings, attack paths, and recommendations, and strategy to technical and executive client stakeholders through written reports and verbal presentations

Demonstrate risk of detected issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, recommend code changes to eliminate vulnerabilities

Automate security testing at various stages within the CI/CD pipeline

Develop secure coding standards and training across multiple application frameworks and technologies to address security-test findings

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $200,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work-related experience

Minimum 8 years total experience in a technical role such as security engineer with software development experience

Design, implementation, and operation of a secure software development lifecycle

Experience with web application security/penetration testing and common attack vectors

Experience with secure application development

Experience with defense-in-depth strategies to help mitigate existing risk within applications

Software development experience in a common programming language: Java, Python, C#

Scripting/programming skills - Python, PowerShell, GoLang, Perl, JavaScript, .NET, API Integration

Security tooling automation in CI/CD pipelines and IDE interfaces including Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Static Application Analysis (SCA) solutions, Dynamic application security testing (DAST)

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experience reproducing proof of concept exploitation steps

Deep application security knowledge, with the ability to map an application vulnerability to exploitation indications and relevant investigative techniques

Familiarity with standardized penetration testing and red teaming standards and procedures, such as NIST SP-800-115 and TIBER-EU.

The Team:

S&P Global Ratings’ data services group is a team of data and technology professionals who define and execute the strategic data roadmap. This team builds and manages a series of carefully curated enterprise data stores, data services, data analytics and BI products that are collectively used by global ratings business to create & publish world class credit ratings, high quality research, thought leadership and related content across more than 90 global economies.

This team has broad knowledge on Ratings organization’s data domains, technology stacks, architectural patterns and applies them to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing resulting in unified strategy and innovative ways to support our business goals.

The team follows a flexible hybrid working model with a mix of in-person days and virtual days.

Responsibilities and Impact:

As a Director of Full Stack Engineering/Architecture at Ratings division you will be

Responsible for analysis, architecture, design, development, and support of enterprise data management systems.

A servant leader supporting global agile scrum teams that operates enterprise data platforms.

Influencing the strategy and align the roadmap of our enterprise data applications and drive the execution of initiatives.

Partnering with other architects, engineering teams and Product owners, including stakeholders in the Ratings organization to achieve business and technology goals.

Provide inputs to technical leadership for data management, application and data architecture, design and operations.

Develop and document application standards, data standards, best practices; provide technical oversight on implementation of new features and iterations of core products adhering to industry best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with 8+ years of Information Technology experience

5+ years Hands-on experience contributing to data/application architecture & designs, proven software/enterprise integration design patterns and full-stack knowledge including modern distributed front end and back-end technology stacks.

Deep Experience with three or more technologies of Java/J2EE, AWS, Spark, Python, Scala, Informatica, PL/SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Informatica, MongoDB, Angular/ReactJS, Databricks, Kubernetes

Experience with Continuous integration, dev-ops, and deployment with tools like Azure DevOps ADO

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of hands-on experience in developing scalable data pipeline using technologies like Kafka, Databricks, Spark and Scala applying ETL and ELT concepts.

Experience in microservices and API design and implementation, SOAP and RESTful APIs for data management applications.

Experience with Data Management, Data Security, Data Quality, Data Governance

Expert knowledge of Agile approaches to software development and able to put key Agile principles into practice to deliver solutions incrementally.

Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with strong ability to influence both technology and business partners.

Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment, understanding of project management principles.

Ability to understand business processes and convert them into technical functions and architecture roadmaps.

Financial services industry experience is a plus.

Job Description What’s the role?

As a Dynatrace Solution Engineer, you will be a key member of the Dynatrace sales engine and will be responsible for providing excellent technical support to the sales team. You will be the expert on Dynatrace and all facets of Advanced Observability. Within this exciting role, you will be responsible for executing great demos which demonstrate the Dynatrace unique approach in solving the customer’s pain, executing and managing POCs onsite and remote, building key relationships with Dynatrace’s customers and completing RFIs & RFPs. You will also work across teams including Dynatrace’s innovation labs, Dynatrace’s Expert Services consultants, CSMs and marketing.

About you:

To ensure your success as a Solution Engineer at Dynatrace, you need to be an ambitious, confident and self-motivated individual, with previous SE experience or another technical customer facing role. You need to be passionate about innovative technology, technical sales and articulating value to customers and prospects. In addition, we are also looking for:

  • An excellent team player, with the ability to work across all disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical value into business value.
  • Previous 3 – 5 years of experience with observability or application performance management technologies and techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues to produce a working outcome and be able to manage this process.
  • Ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously, work with a number of different sales people and support other SEs where needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Evangelize Dynatrace’s product offerings during international trade shows and at key customer account meetings to promote new and expanded business.
  • Partner with sales representatives to identify new sales opportunities as well as incremental sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • As part of the solution engineering team participate in proof of concept (PoC) creation and cloud architecture discussions, leading the technical solution evaluation portion in support of sales opportunities either directly or through channel partners for multiple POCs.
  • Present Dynatrace’s vision to our customers C-suite executives.
  • Provide technical guidance in the Discovery, Solution Evaluation, and Solution Proposal stages of the opportunity sales cycle.
  • Present on-stage demonstrations providing insight and context to our customers during key marketing events. Either at Dynatrace sponsored industry events or partner sponsored events, ensure key demonstrations are delivered by you or a team member at demonstration booths.
  • Gather, qualify and provide feedback from customers to Product Management to improve Dynatrace’s market share and meet the market needs.
  • Build best practices and share knowledge the team to continuously develop and enhance both your personal and team capabilities.
  • Work with local Sales and Sales Engineering leadership to identify learning/ development opportunities for you and the local team to maintain Dynatrace’s leadership position in the market.
  • Create and modify Dynatrace template presentations, in order to attend the specific demands of each customer
  • Not only work with internal sales team, but also with partners, supporting their team in the customers and being a technical point of contact for them (trusted advisor/technical coach).

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience required.
  • 1+ years of experience within the observability space.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

At Max, the Growth Engineering team comprises ML engineers, data scientists, and software engineers. Our goal is to boost watch time and grow the number of subscribers. What you’ll Do

  • Research, design, and build high-impact end-to-end machine learning products for customer growth
  • Contribute to the design of scalable ML systems in production
  • Follow best practices of data science, engineering, and communication throughout the organization
  • Talk to cross-functional teammates in Product, Design, Content, and Marketing to understand their problems and design solutions

What you’ll Need

  • 3 years of experience building products with personalization
  • Familiarity with common ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, Scikit-learn, etc.
  • Production experience implementing ML pipelines and models in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages
  • Demonstrated ability to learn from and collaborate with partners in engineering and product management

Job Description

The New York State Senate Technology Services office is seeking a Web Application Developer with expertise in PHP and/or Drupal development. Senate Technology Services develops and maintains applications for legislative and administrative Senate offices as well as for the public constituency at large.

You will be joining a small group of developers who, from the bottom up, have designed and implemented a number of core services on top of proven open source technologies. These services offer robust user interfaces as well as open, RESTful APIs that are built using Java and PHP, and utilize several open source applications such as: Apache, PHP, Drupal, CiviCRM, MySQL, Tomcat, Maven, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and Memcached.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally competent programmer, with experience developing large, complex applications in an enterprise environment, an acute attention to detail, and the ability to self manage. In short, the candidate should be highly motivated to produce superior work.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, and deploy new and enhanced web applications and services, including the Senate’s CRM (Constituent Relationship Management) and both the public website (NYSenate.gov) and internal intranet site (MySenate), which are both Drupal projects
  • Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team of technologists
  • Engage with non-technical end users to understand and define business requirements
  • Participate in a dynamic dev environment, moving adeptly between concurrent PHP projects
  • Develop high-quality, reusable components using version control
  • Design applications, APIs, and user interfaces, with an emphasis on usability
  • Write technical specifications, context diagrams, and/or design documents
  • Evaluate and use new technologies, frameworks, and libraries for production systems

Ideal candidate has demonstrable (minimum 3 years) experience with:

  • PHP, Drupal, and/or CiviCRM and associated IDEs such as PHPStorm or Eclipse
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
  • MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or Oracle
  • Linux environments, including the Bourne-Again SHell
  • Version Control Systems such as Git and Github
  • PHP documentation generators such as phpDocumentor, phpDox, and Doxygen

Additional Useful Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Computer Science and two years of programming experience in an enterprise environment, or equivalent technical expertise
  • React, Next.js, Angular, Vue, and/or jQuery
  • Elasticsearch, Lucene, and/or Solr
  • Mobile app development (both platform and web-based) and responsive web design

Security Engineer, Infrastructure Responsibilities:

  • Write code and conduct code reviews in: Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++ (or similar language)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years work experience building and securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software and services
  • 8+ years work experience writing code in Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++ (or similar language)
  • Experience fixing infrastructure security problems across broad corporate boundaries using influence and relationships
  • Experience in designing, analyzing, improving efficiency, scalability, and stability distributed systems and conducting threat model assessment of infrastructure software and services
  • Experience owning a particular component, feature or system
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience making contributions to the security or privacy community (public research, blogging, presentations, etc.)
  • Broad knowledge of the security domain, which might include security investigations, incident management, digital forensics, offensive security, vulnerability management, product security, and much more
