Meet the team:

Dexcom is hiring for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this position, you will be designing and developing Android applications to help improve the lives of people with diabetes. You will be joining a well-established company that’s on an upward growth trajectory.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Fuel Cycle is looking to hire an entry-level Software Engineer who will work very closely with our product and engineering teams to produce high quality code. By driving engineering quality, troubleshooting application issues, and contributing to long-term strategy, you'll play a key role in the continuous enhancement of our SaaS platforms. The Software Engineer will report to our VP, Research & Development. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of three days in office requirement per week, based out of Fuel Cycle’s Los Angeles Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow overall architectural principles, frameworks, and standards.
  • Help design solutions that are enterprise scalable and maintainable.

By driving engineering quality, troubleshooting application issues, and contributing to long-term strategy, you'll play a key role in the continuous enhancement of our SaaS platforms. Responsibilities:

  • Follow overall architectural principles, frameworks, and standards.

You'll Be Successful If You Have:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably within a start-up environment.

  • Advanced knowledge in SQL and NOSQL.

What You Will Do:* Analyze software features developed or bugs fixed in software and coordinate with other programmers, engineers and system analyst to understand their point of view to incorporate suggestions and make it more robust and user friendly. * Test any software that is developed for its correct functional operations and conduct stringent performance requirements on software developed to return data and response when invoked in user acceptable performance standards. * Responsible for timely and quality delivery of software applications and develop an opinionated Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) tooling guidance to enable customers who are adopting distributed system software. * Work with Project Management and other developers to understand design requirements and provide estimates for development. * Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices, such as checking code in, testability, and efficiency. * Work as part of a development team to lead and drive design, implementation, testing and release of features.

What You Will Bring:* Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related role. * Must have four (4) years of experience with Go, Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, TypeScript, Angular or similar programming languages; * Must have four (4) years of experience with Linux, Windows, or Shell Script programming; * Must have four (4) years of experience with Git, subversion, maven or SCM; * Must have two (2) years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Containers, AWS, or Cloud; * Must have two (2) years of experience with upstream patch posting procedures and upstream development; * Must have two (2) years of experience with Agile and Scrum development process; * Must have one (1) year of experience reviewing peer contribution and with Open-Source Community.

#LI-DNI The salary range for this position is $127,890.00 - $211,180.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
