We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical background in Java and Python.

In this role, you will design, develop and maintain Vehicle Health Management(VHM) platform which predicts future failures in the vehicle and notifies customers. We are looking for an innovative continuous learner and collaborative problem solver who is driven to take ideas to production.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain VHM platform.
  • Ensure VHMs efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Write clean, efficient, and high-quality code in Java and Python
  • Write unit test cases with high coverage
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software components to identify and resolve any issues or vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and new technology, and educate the global team
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
  • Drive innovation and research in prognostics.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering degree
  • 8+ years of experience in software development (Java, Python, PySpark)
  • Knowledge in machine learning (can we expand on technologies, tooling, etc. for ML, so key words hit)
  • Deep working knowledge in Azure or other cloud platforms
  • Experience with Databricks, Hadoop, Hive
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes at a namespace level
  • Experience with OCF and AKS
  • 2+ years developing on an RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, Yugabyte, Redis
  • Full software development life-cycle experience with CICD and thorough testing prior to release.
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement, and a desire to push the boundaries of prognostics technology
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to process a high volume of work with high complexity with nonstandard solutions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results

Location: Columbus, OH Hybrid 3 days on-site

Job Description:

  • Ascendion is looking for a Full Stack Java Developer for one of our largest financial companies.
  • As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be part of a large global team that develops new features and updates to their internal platform
  • Detail anticipated service level requirements (defect rates, turn-arounds)
  • Quality code delivery with appropriate testing
  • Collaboration with existing teams and dependencies

Must haves:

  • 7-10 years Software Engineering experience
  • Full Stack Java Developer with rules engine (Drools), integration/API
  • Java, SpringBoot, Angular, Python, Hadoop, Oracle, on-premises cloud (Gaia)
  • Oracle database experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Plusses:

  • AWS Cloud experience

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $100,000- $110,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan. Commissions for this position are estimated to be based on individual performance. Additionally, this role is also eligible for bonus based on achievement of mutually agreed KRAs.
