Vulnerability Assessment* Manage and support application security tool deployments including static analysis, dynamic testing and software composition analysis tools * Assess the application threat landscape through threat modeling and architecture reviews * Conduct security source code reviews * Prioritize, triage and assist developers on the remediation of application security vulnerabilities * Develop metrics and reporting on the posture of the application security program

About You: Technical Skills* 4+ years experience in Application Security * Full stack development experience preferably in Java, Javascript and/or Python

Application Development and Security* Knowledge of the current Application and Product Security threat landscape and industry best practices and how to implement them at a business-wide level * Knowledge of SANS/CWE Top 25, OWASP Top 10 Application Security principals. * Deep understanding of developing security policies, standards and procedures and experience with implementing them across the organization. * Experience with data encryption, cryptography and encryption key management. * Experience with web and mobile application security tooling and processes, including threat modeling, security design/code review, static code analysis, penetration testing, risk management, etc. * Understanding of vulnerability disclosure processes and experience working with vendors to integrate security solutions into the SDLC process. * Ability to innovate and find creative solutions that balance the needs of the business with the needs of security.

Infrastructure* Solid understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP, HTTP and TLS * Knowledge of C.I.A. (confidentiality, integrity, availability) security principles and D.I.E. (distributed, immutable and ephemeral) security model * Strong knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure and security best practices, including familiarity with cloud native applications and architecture. * Experience with configuration management and DevOps practices to ensure that security is integrated into the SDLC process

Job Description

The Staff DevSecOps Engineer (Azure) role will be used to develop custom solutions using various code methods for Identity and Entitlement management in the Azure space. The Staff DevSecOps Engineer (Azure) will be responsible for working on solutions for Azure AD and B2C development, as well as assist with other development needs as required to support NBCUniversal’s emerging business and technology needs. The Staff DevSecOps Engineer (Azure) will be part of the IAM Software Development team who are working together to drive our strategies to the cloud. This position reports to the Sr. Director of IAM Software Development and will work in close collaboration with the CISO's direct reports, other lead architects, and engineers within the NBCUniversal business areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and author Microsoft Azure Solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Design and Implement Microsoft Entra ID related projects.
  • Create and maintain Reference Architecture documentation
  • Document of new solutions (e.g., architecture, configuration, setup, and support WIKIs).
  • Working within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role as part of a multi-disciplined software development team.
  • Collaborate with NBCUniversal customer stakeholders and end users in the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience acceptable
  • 8+ years of proven work history providing solution within Entra ID. Expert knowledge of application integrations, conditional access polices, Entra ID Connect.
  • Possession of an Azure Solution Architect or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with XML, .NET, REST and object-oriented programming languages like C# or Java, and Python.
  • Expertise in scripting with a shell tool (Ex: PowerShell, AZCLI, etc.)
  • Experience with front end technologies, HTML, CSS, Angular, JQuery, and JS.
  • Prior experience with setting up, deploying, and managing multiple environments to support agile development approaches.
  • Good understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with static code analysis and code security analysis tools such as SonarQube, SNYK, SonarLint, VeraCode, or Roselyn
  • Extensive experience with a standard unit testing framework such as XUnit, Junit, NUnit, Moq, etc.
  • Recent hands-on experience with a DevSecOps toolset.
  • Hand-on experience with selecting and implementing containerization technology and orchestrators such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong, in-depth, and demonstrable hands-on experience with the following technologies:
    • Microsoft Identity and Access Management products including Entra ID or AD B2C
    • Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools, including Azure Monitor, App Insights and Log Analytics
    • Microsoft Azure Platform as A Service (PaaS) products such as App Services, Logic Apps, Functions and other Serverless services.

Your Function

About the IT Justice team: TheIT Justice Team reports through the Business Solutions Delivery division of the Information Services and Technology department for the County of Marin supporting our Justice partners and systems. The IT Justice Team is recruiting for a Systems Engineer, which is the entry level of the Systems Engineer series. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assesses business needs and innovates integration solutions for application and support tools. * Oversees that standard database coding techniques, standards, and data retrieval methodologies are utilized. * Plans integration and directs implementation of database application data with other reporting sources (e.g., data warehouse, third party databases, and client reporting tools). * Oversees the coordination and implementation of upgrades of databases and applications. * Provides a strategic level of technical leadership to the database and interface team, IT, and the enterprise. * Oversees the establishment and enforcement of security standards for databases and interface. * Ensures management of interface recovery and restart procedures. * Remains abreast of changes and developments in maintains the industry. Establishes a network of professional relationships both inside and outside the corporation. * Assists in developing and monitoring assigned budgets.

Knowledge/ Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Knowledge of Oracle and SQL, language, utilities, and database applications required. Knowledge of interface development required. Knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques, structured programming, ASP.net, VB.net, C#.net, SQL Server 14, Transact SQL query language, HL7, JavaScript, VBScript, VB 6.0, MS Access, MS Excel, XML, Iguana, EDI using ANSI standards required.

Experience Five years’ experience with EDI, API, HL7 as well as RESTful API, JSON and an understanding of FHIR for HL7 and EDI transformations or similar interface experience, preferably in health care or related field required. Strong knowledge of database technologies and tools including Oracle, SQL Server, and all other desired database servers required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL required. Familiarity with ITSM concepts and processes required. Experience with object-oriented programming techniques and/or microservices architecture structured programming preferred. Experience with interface engine architecture such as Corepoint, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Iguana preferred. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Javascript preferred.

Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to follow SDLC processes from requirements to implementation. Ability to analyze functional problems and develop sound effective solutions. Ability to collaborate with business and IT partners to solve business challenges. Strong presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to effectively utilize and develop personnel to execute job tasks. Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to plan and organize a diversified and heavy workload.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Applications Developer 2, you will support various Office of Highway Administration applications such as the Engineering and Construction Management System (ECMS); the Electronic Construction and Materials Management System (eCAMMS); the Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS); and the Quality Assurance Reporting System (QARS).

In this role, you will actively participate in the analysis, planning, design, development, testing, debugging, maintenance, and documentation of these complex and mission critical applications. You will utilize Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), JAVA, .NET, Javascript, and relational databases. As you will encounter many tasks utilizing Java Server Pages, previous Java experience is vital to this position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:* Full-time employment * Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. * Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:* Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or * One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3; or * Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or * A bachelor's degree in any information technology field. * Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
