The Data Science COE at S&P Global is looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Engineering leader to lead the full-stack engineering design and development efforts for the ML applications developed by the COE. role will lead, implement and define the full-stack platform strategy, and design and develop front-end and application layer solutions for our ML services while working with a broad range of partners across data, technology and business teams.

Responsibilities include:
Full-Stack System Architecture Design : Develop scalable full-stack system and front-end applications for ML back-end
Full-stack UI and System Development for AI products: Responsible for the development of custom architecture for batch and stream processing-based AI ML pipelines including data ingestion to preprocessing to scaled AI model compute and ensure the architecture meets all SLA requirements. REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

5+ Years of Experienced in developing Front-end technology:

With supervisor approval, incumbents may be eligible for intermittent remote work; however, they must physically reside within the Sacramento region or have the ability to regularly report to a City of Sacramento physical worksite with little notice.
This position is part of the Enterprise Applications Division, which is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining the Human Resources Workers' Compensation System. It is also responsible for the system configuration, custom application development, report development, and day-to-day support. This technical position provides a wide range of development-related duties, system configuration, and end-user training. This position should work independently with minimal supervision on providing necessary system updates and enhancements in a timely matter.
IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the following:* Application design, development, and support * Enterprise software customization, configuration, and administration * SQL query and reporting * Operating systems and programming languages * Working in a team environment with agile methodologies * Cloud system administration and configuration

Under general supervision, the Applications Developer performs a variety of professional, technical, and analytical duties involving the design, development, testing, implementation, administration and support of new and existing small and medium sized systems and databases in a multi-platform environment that includes mainframe, client server, distributed and web based systems.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is a journey-level-professional classification populated with multiple incumbents. The Application Developer's responsibilities involve concepts of systems analysis and design, programming, testing, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing systems. The Application Developer classification is distinguished from a Programmer in that the former performs an increased degree of difficulty of work that requires a greater level of technical knowledge to perform assigned tasks. This classification is distinguished from the Senior Application Developer in that the latter serves as team or project leader and possesses a higher level of technical knowledge and skill.
