Partner Engineering is a highly technical team that works with our strategic partners to integrate Meta products into their mobile platforms, apps, devices as well as our VR/AR platforms. Partner Engineers bring deep technical knowledge of Android platforms to lead highly visible initiatives and launch impactful products with our strategic mobile partners.Our Partner Engineering team has managed several programs; the Meta Preloads Program with our mobile partners on more than 2 billion Android devices and enabled various features & services from Meta apps to mobile partner devices, RL devices initiatives which involves bringing key partners and experiences on to our device platforms such as Quest and Smart Glasses, and our Strategic Alliances program which helps drive the direction of Android, and its adoption, inside Meta; and in collaboration with key partners.You will engage with some of the world's most influential companies to drive Meta family of apps' compatibility and quality on partner devices, internally with our Product team to enhance those apps, pushing new experiences forward by integrating innovative partner apps and services on our RL devices (Quest, Smart Glasses, etc.). You will be directly involved in helping drive feature innovation at the platform and app level, while also supporting app release and compliance, across the Meta family of apps. The ideal candidate will combine technical and business skills to make our partners successful and improve Meta apps quality on their devices.

Partner Engineer, Android Responsibilities:

  • Improve the quality of Facebook apps on our partners' latest Android devices
  • Be a subject matter expert in relevant project/product and technology areas. Collaborate with external partners, internal Engineering and Product partners on Android app pre-installation
  • Identify and surface insights using metrics on product usage to increase adoption and provide new solutions that address the needs of our partners
  • Understand tools, concepts and processes related to Facebook family of apps, and underlying implementation across Android
  • Use broad range of technical and soft skills to build productive relationships with our partners, and independently resolve complex technical and business needs while contributing to partner documentation
  • Use expertise and product insight to deliver high-quality project/integration/ partner engagements, while sustaining self-driven productivity
  • Guide workflow changes, and gain consensus from stakeholders while driving to solution
  • Respond and maintain effective communication with industry partners and internal stakeholders
  • Build and manage strong working relationships with technical counterparts. Mentor and share knowledge with peers, creating positive atmosphere amongst team
  • Work with partners to develop a long- term strategic plan, grounded on business objectives, and manage partners during feature launches
  • Understand organizational structure and cross functional team dynamics and is able to get support from those teams as needed
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience - software engineering or partner engineering
  • B.A/B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
  • Experience with Android development and using various SDKs and libraries
  • Software development experience in languages and environments such as Java, NDK(C++) and/or PHP
  • Experience to take on complex and ambiguous problems

Job Description

Meta is seeking a Partner Engineer to join Meta’s Applied AI Partner Engineering team, a highly technical team that works with strategic partners, machine learning leaders across the industry and all major cloud service providers for building and launching new Generative AI product services and experience and taking Large Language Models (LLMs) from research to production. In this role, you will engage with some of the world's most influential companies and work closely with our Llama engineering and AI research teams. The ideal candidate will have industry experience working with PyTorch on a range of deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, generative AI, conversational AI, reinforcement learning (RLHF) problems. You will also represent Meta at developer conferences and events. You will be required to develop technical accelerators, case studies, white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and/or presentations to evangelize Meta’s AI design patterns and best practices.

Partner Engineer, Gen AI Responsibilities:

  • Apply relevant AI and machine learning techniques to build and launch generative AI solutions using Meta’s Llama and other state of the art LLMs
  • Understand Meta’s AI/Llama frameworks and products and their underlying implementation
  • Define and execute on a strategy to drive adoption of Llama and other Meta’s AI/ML platform offerings
  • Work closely with cloud providers (like Azure, AWS, GCP) and Meta’s strategic partners on deep learning & LLM integrations
  • Be a subject matter technical expert, and have strategic influence on partners and internal teams at Meta
  • Provide thought leadership, evangelize Meta’s AI and Gen AI services and share best practices through forums such as medium blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events
  • Develop reference architectures, samples and other materials to share with the broader Meta developer community
  • Work with key partners and LLM developer community to optimize existing generative AI models for improved performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Leads technical strategy and roadmap for long-term strategic partners with high level of autonomy / Able to own and navigate long term technical relationship with partners
  • Has good understanding of Responsible AI, proactively identifies risk to Meta and partners and drives involvement from the necessary XFNs

  • Experience building cloud solutions on any cloud. Experience with Open Source cloud stacks like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Docker containers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS, MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
  • Solid understanding of at least one Deep Learning framework (PyTorch, Tensorflow or MXNet)
  • Experience building Deep Learning - Computer Vision or Natural Language Processing or Recommender Systems models using the frameworks.
  • Apply relevant AI and machine learning techniques to build
  • Experience influencing and building mindshare convincingly with any audience.
  • Experience working with internal and external partners
  • Data science background and experience manipulating/transforming data, model selection, model training, model optimization and deployment at scale.

Business Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Build new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with Meta product engineering teams and cross functional partners to meet business needs
  • Understand and apply deep knowledge of products, technologies, and business to build solutions to solve for problems at scale

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience as a software engineer building and shipping production quality code
  • Experience with open source languages such as PHP, Python, Java, or JavaScript Frameworks
  • Experience with writing and shipping reliable, scalable, and efficient code, with an emphasis on long-term maintainability, in partnership with all appropriate reviewers, in manageable pieces with relevant documentation and test plans
  • Experience with software design and architecture
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences

The Product Quality organization at Meta is responsible for quality improvements to enable great end-to-end experiences for people and businesses. The Product Quality organization is seeking QA Engineering Leads to test and assess product quality for the Meta products (ex. Facebook, IG, Messenger.). QA Engineering Lead Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and execute product quality strategies for Meta's products like Facebook, Instagram, Messenger
  • Develop test strategies for business critical projects to ensure product correctness before launch

  • Hands-on experience with planning, designing, executing tests and knowledge of performance and stress testing

  • Experience managing black box testing with remote testers
  • Experience in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++ or equivalent coding language

Production Engineers (PEs) at Meta are a hybrid between software and systems engineers and are core to every significant engineering effort that keeps Facebook running smoothly and scaling efficiently. Production Engineer (University Grad) Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming and software engineering
  • Produce high quality code with good test coverage, using modern abstractions and frameworks
  • Work independently, use available resources to get unblocked, and complete tasks on-schedule by exercising strong judgement and problem solving skills
  • Master Meta’s development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity

Minimum Qualifications:
