What We’re Looking For:

8+ years of experience building solutions in big data technologies.
Strong experience programming with more than one of Java , Scala, Python, Spark.

With the FlashBlade product, we are building a scale-out all-flash file and object store, designed for the modern world. To really understand how our customers work with data, we are deeply immersed in AI, modern backup, log analytics with Splunk and Elastic, data pipeline with Kafka, cluster computing with Spark, and many more use cases. With the ObjectEngine product we are looking to modernize data protection by driving to a new architecture of F2F2C (Flash to Flash to Cloud).
Responsibilities: * Design and implement creative new algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable systems (think six 9’s) * Own and deliver innovation end-to-end, from concept to shipped product * Analyze and solve challenging problems through persistence and insight * Work as a team with smart peers who inspire you and who are inspired by you * Make customers really happy, because that’s why we do what we do * Learn a ton, whether you know a lot, or nothing about system software
Qualifications: * 1+ years experience using C, C++, Python, Go, Java or related programming languages (< 1 year experience? We have special opportunities for you! Please apply directly to our University roles on our careers page) * Experience in any number of related systems software projects e.g: Distributed systems, Operating systems, Linux Kernel, Database internals, Hypervisors, Containers, Compiler Optimization, etc. * Proven design sensibility and the willingness to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment * A BS degree in Computer Science; Advanced degrees are a bonus! * Must be willing and able to work in an open office environment.

Pay Range: USD $207,000.00 - USD $312,000.00 /Yr. Pay Transparency Statement:
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

As a software engineer on the Promotions Rewarding team, you will help build and enhance a suite of services and tools that allow PayPal consumers to earn rewards for actions they take in the PayPal ecosystem. We need you to assist us in developing high-quality, high-performing, secure applications and participate in all aspects of application development including design, coding, security, testing, and production releases. You will be delivering new features, reacting to customer feedback, helping to ensure quality, working closely with our product team, and ensuring compliance. The anticipated salary range for this role is between $103,000.00 and $206,000.00. SMBC Capital Markets Inc. is hiring a senior software engineer in the Software Development department, New York office. The position is in support of the trading flow, trade analysis, and research IT systems.
Senior Software Engineer is responsible for assisting in the technical vision and strategic planning of all aspects of software solutions for the Capital Market business. This includes both in-house built and external vendor provided software.
