THE POSITION

The Infrastructure and Economic Development Information Technology Delivery Center (IED ITDC) is seeking a highly motivated individual with application development and support skills to join our dynamic team of professionals in the Highway Applications Division. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Applications Developer 2, you will support various Office of Highway Administration applications such as the Engineering and Construction Management System (ECMS); the Electronic Construction and Materials Management System (eCAMMS); the Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS); and the Quality Assurance Reporting System (QARS).

In this role, you will actively participate in the analysis, planning, design, development, testing, debugging, maintenance, and documentation of these complex and mission critical applications. You will utilize Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), JAVA, .NET, Javascript, and relational databases. As you will encounter many tasks utilizing Java Server Pages, previous Java experience is vital to this position.

Responsible for supporting and maintaining software applications, design enhancements and project development. Acts as a member of the in-house development team to both build new tools and services. Facilitates the adoption of existing tools with the goal of advancing the businesses digital infrastructure and meeting its growth needs.   • Experience preferred in ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript and MSSQL.

  • Gather and analyze clients’ business, functional and technical requirements to develop and deliver implementation recommendations and a working solution of SaaS applications within project scope.

Position: DevOps Engineer

KeyLogic is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a major national laboratory. You will perform configuration management, testing of complex software engineering infrastructure. You will employ systems-level thinking to plan, develop, and execute the implementation of solutions in the areas of cloud computing, security architecture, software architecture and network engineering. To achieve this, you will need two years of relevant experience and experience in problem identification, root cause analysis, and solving.

Primarily responsibilities will include research and development of a state-of-the-art Linux build, integration, and test environment that enables the development of sophisticated, real-time decision support systems that support remote sensing, data acquisition, and analysis applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Configuration management, testing and user support of complex software engineering infrastructures that are utilized by multiple code development teams
  • Working collectively with architects, developers, technical leads, customers, tactical partners, and end users to collect requirements, design solutions, and deliver extensible software applications
  • Providing to a deeply rewarding mission through engagement with diverse computer science specialists and specialists in areas like data fusion, signal and image processing, analytics, cloud computing, architectures, and data management and visualization

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience
  • In lieu of degree, relevant experience is applicable
  • U.S. citizenship is required per Contract to obtain and maintain U.S. Department of Energy Clearance, with the ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance and SCI-level clearance, which may require a polygraph test

Job Title Senior Software Engineer 1, Finance Affiliate Job Description About Your Role: Dotdash Meredith is looking for an experienced front-end technologist, with a demonstrated track record of innovative thinking, technical mastery, and peer guidance. You will work in a collaborative Agile environment to support, expand, and enhance the financial product and service recommendations on Investopedia.com. About your contributions:* Prototype and develop responsive and elegant cross-platform functionality on a custom server-side component framework, built on Java but leveraging SCSS, Freemarker templates, and ES6 on the front-end, with VueJS used for more interactive components. * Play a primary role in designing and constructing major application components * Ensure high standards of quality by participating in code reviews, advocating for best practices within your team and without, and helping drive the identification and prioritization of technical debt. * Monitor your applications’ web performance metrics and UX best practices to ensure they meet Dotdash Meredith’s high standards, and investigate issues that arise. * Work directly with the designers, QA, and product owner in a dedicated scrum team to fully realize the product vision. * Participate in a well-oiled 2-week sprint agile system to continuously add new features & functionality to the business.

About you:* 5+ years of experience in Web Development with a focus on HTML, CSS and vanilla Javascript (ES6+); experience with one or more other languages. Experience with Java and/or VueJS is also an asset, but not required. * Significant experience with at least one server-side MPA templating language - think JSP, Nuxt.js, Astro, ASP.NET, or WordPress PHP templating. * Proven track record of working with 3rd party APIs and integrating them into web applications. * Comfortable using the tools of modern collaborative Agile+Scrum SDLC, including Git, Jira, planning poker, etc. * Ideally, you’ll also have a meticulous eye for design and rigorously check your own work for quality and precision, even before QA and stakeholder review. * Willingness to learn new technologies and grow as a developer. * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field or foreign equivalent preferred.

Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
