Responsible for supporting and maintaining software applications, design enhancements and project development. Acts as a member of the in-house development team to both build new tools and services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.

Core:

  • Experience preferred in ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript and MSSQL.

  • Gather and analyze clients’ business, functional and technical requirements to develop and deliver implementation recommendations and a working solution of SaaS applications within project scope.

  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience on a variety of facilities or CMMS highly desirable.

  • Not required but highly desired: candidates with experience and/or familiarity with code enforcement, permitting processes, parcels, and licensing.

Software Developer - (24141794)

The Montana Public Employee Retirement Administration (MPERA) agency is committed to providing secure and sustainable retirement benefits to nearly 60,000 members and retirees. As a member of the agency’s Information Systems Bureau, this position will support the business bureaus through designing, development, and implementation of data-driven application software. Duties involve assisting agency business-side employees in defining user requirements, designing application architecture and functionality, developing application code in various languages like Java, Ruby on Rails or .NET programming languages, and implementing applications. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment and have experience programming in C# and SQL Server. Duties

Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, project managers, and team leads, to analyze requirements, deliver industry-leading voice/video technical solutions successfully and on time.

Test new software releases for audio visual and video teleconferencing devices to ensure interoperability with existing infrastructure, support monthly maintenance window activities.

Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices for conference room technology.

ABOUT THE POSITION

LACERA is seeking two Information Technology Specialist I — Information Security Engineers to support critical security programs and operations within the organization. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the security posture of critical government systems and services and uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and secure accessibility of LACERA’s systems and information assets. The Engineers will register incidents of risk, set up automations, and work as part of a dedicated team to ensure that the organization adheres to all relevant data privacy acts.

The Engineers will report to the Information Security Officer and work within the Executive Office, actively collaborating on a team of five to manage LACERA’s cybersecurity programs and projects. Prior experience in the private/public sector or any organization with a strong element of compliance is preferred. The Engineers are expected to be thorough and organized technical administrators who also possess excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building excellent relationships with other staff. They will also be clear communicators, with the ability to explain complex technological concepts in a simplified and engaging way. Vacancy Information: The current vacancy is in the Systems Division; however, the resulting eligible register for this examination can be used to fill other vacancies in LACERA, as they occur.

Work Schedule: This full-time position is required to work a 5/40 schedule (e.g. an eight (8) hour day, Monday through Friday), with occasional nights and weekends in emergent situations. Position Summary

In this role, you will provide advanced business analysis and Java web development for complex enterprise IT projects and consults on technical design and application support issues.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • leading efforts in the formulation of policy, standards, procedures, and guidelines for web application development for developer usage
